WORST PLACE TO GET A TAXI: CEBU PORT!

If you're from Manila and you're used to getting a cab, then this will drive you nuts!

Upon coming from Bohol, we landed on the port of Cebu. Because we were looking like tourists, we expected to be treated like tourists. But, as it turned out, the taxi drivers in that area are notorious.

We tried riding a number of them, but they didn't want to flag down the meter. Instead, they were charging us exorbitant prices. think of thieves in sheep's clothing! My God, I hate to say this, but I never experienced this in Manila! If a driver in Manila tells you that he doesn't wanna flag down his meter and gives you a fixed price, just tell them that you'll report them to MMDA or LTO and they start shitting their pants!

But the taxi drivers of Cebu are the worst! No fear, baby! Just a contract price! They remind me of bounty hunters.

Oh, and another fact: if you didn't agree with their price, they'll call you, "Tagalog!" Ain't that the greatest insult? And I'm not even Tagalog! I was embarrassed for my friends!

That's why I've been very hesitant to bring friends of mine back there again. Taxi drivers there are rude!

Addendum: I'm not saying that everybody there is rude. Just the taxi drivers, mind you. So if you plan to go there, don't say we didn't ward you!

RED RIBBON COMMONWEALTH: WORST PLACE TO EAT IN QUEZON CITY!

Yes I know that Red Ribbon is one of the best places in the Philly to get cake, but let's not forget the fact that half of the dining experience is the Service!

Upon entering , we ordered our meals! OK, that was fine.

After five minutes, one of the servers tells us that one of the meals we ordered was not available: namely the pan-grilled chops. OK, I said, let's change it. I ordered a number of substitutes, but most of them were not available. OK, fine, I landed with the bangus (fish). End of story?

another ten minutes again. Tick tock. Ho, ho, then came the time when my friend's order came. I told her to start eating 'cause I know she was definitely hungry. Then she finished eating.

After five minutes, I stood again and went looking for my order. Turned out they forgot it in the kitchen. It was ready but nobody brought it out.

OK, I ate, let's forgive them. But then after running of juice drinks (we drank them all up), we asked for tap water. After five minutes of waiting, still no water.

I stood up and went to the manager. I told her they have the worst service in all the restaurants we've ever been in!

Then, they gave us water.

Aaaarrrggghh!

Warning: if you eat there, don't say we didn't warn you!
